Il ritorno di Resident Evil 3 è un sogno che si avvera per i patiti della serie, che per lungo tempo hanno sperato di udire, ancora una volta, il rabbioso urlo di Nemesis. Se ai nostalgici dell'era PS1 aggiungiamo chi non ha mai giocato al capitolo originale, la spasmodica attesa per l'arrivo del remake appare più che giustificata. Piacevolmente impressionati dalla prova in quel di Londra e dall'ultimo incontro preliminare, ci siamo tuffati nell'esperienza completa con vivo entusiasmo, desiderosi di testare la bontà del lavoro svolto da Capcom e M2. Ebbene, a differenza del suo predecessore, il "nuovo" Resident Evil 3 è una sostanziale reinterpretazione del titolo classico, con tutto ciò che ne consegue. Quando si imbocca un sentiero del genere, infatti, c'è sempre il rischio che le scelte produttive finiscano col deludere le aspettative degli appassionati, mancando di valorizzare appieno il materiale di riferimento. Un campo minato che purtroppo il team di Capcom non ha affrontato nel migliore dei modi, tanto da rendere la fuga disperata di Jill Valentine meno brillante del previsto.
